Jon Garner
I was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio. At 17, I enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. I served four years on active duty as an electro-optical technician. I was stationed in Okinawa, Japan, for a year and San Diego for two years. In 2003 I joined the Huntsville Police Department. I have been a police officer for 19 years now. As a police officer, I have received the Lifesaving Medal, the Meritorious Achievement Medal, and the Medal of Valor. I was nominated for the Alabama State Medal of Honor and recognized by Gov. Riley. I have a deep interest in cars, trucks, or pretty much anything with a motor. I prefer to do all my own mechanic work. I am a certified welder. I can MIG, TIG, and stick weld. I have been married for almost twelve years and have two children. I love doing everything with my family. I started in real estate a little over two years ago because I wanted to do something unrelated to and independent of police work. I also train in jiu-jitsu at Triad Martial Arts in Cullman, AL.
